TONIA'S STORY..

Tonia's road to TDK DESIGN & CONSIGNMENT has not been a short route, it's been a long journey with plenty of hills.  Over 25 years ago a young Tonia began her first job with the Dekalb County Tax Commissioner's office, her maturity and work ethic impressed her superior's immediately.  Over the years she worked her way up to become a member of the management team.  Tonia seemed to have it all, career and family; 2 daughters, Destiny and Kayla.

While a career with the county government proved to be stable and provided benefits, Tonia slowy began to realize that her career was not her passion.  Fashion and interior design is where Tonia's passion lies.  She began perfecting her skills by accepting fashion consultations and interior design jobs as 'side gigs'.  The evidence was clear, Tonia's side business was to become her new career, but when?

In 2011 TDK DESIGN & CONSIGNMENT opened for business operating on the weekends only (Tonia was still employed with the government) and business was good!  It wasn't until August 2012, Tonia, a divorced mother of two, walked away from her management position with the government, became her own boss and refuses to look back.
